All right, welcome to day two. Galatians chapter one, beginning of verse one. Paul, an apostle, not from man nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead, and all the brothers who are with me to the churches of Galatia. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Okay, Paul had a lot of detractors because one, he used to be a religious terrorist, and he wasn't a part of the original twelve of the apostles that walked around with Jesus. And so a bunch of people would criticize him and accuse him of not being an actual apostle. And so, let me tell you this. While the world tried to slap a label on him, Paul would not receive it. Paul says, I am an apostle not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father. You see, the reality is this is that only Jesus gets to tell you who you are. And men, are you way too hung up on what the world says you are, or do you understand who you are in Christ Jesus? Now, this might take a second, but I want to tell you, according to the Bible, who you are. I got this from a guy named Neil Anderson in the book The Bondage Breaker. That if you are in Christ, you are the salt of the earth, you are the light of the world, you are a child of God, you are a part of the true vine, a channel of Christ's life, that you are Christ's friend, you are chosen and appointed by Christ to bear his fruit. You were a slave to righteousness, you are enslaved to God, that you are a son of God, that God is spiritually your father, that you are a joint heir with Christ, sharing in his inheritance with him, that you are the temple, a dwelling place of God, his spirit and his life dwells in you, that you are united to the Lord and you were one spirit with him, that you are a member of his body, you're a new creation, that you have been reconciled to God and you were a minister of reconciliation, that you are a son of God and you are one in Christ, that you are an heir of God since you are a son of God, that you are a saint, that you were God's workmanship, his handiwork, that you were a fellow citizen with the rest of God's family, that you were a prisoner of Christ, that you are righteous and holy, that you were a citizen of heaven seated in heaven right now, and you were hidden with Christ, that you are an expression of the life of Christ because he is your life, that you are chosen of God, that you are holy and dearly loved, that you are a son of light and not of darkness, that you are a holy partaker of a heavenly calling, that you are a partaker of Christ, that you share in his life, that you are one of God's living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual house, that you are a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you are an alien and a stranger to this world in which you temporarily live, that you are an enemy of the devil, that you are a child of God and you will resemble Christ when He returns, that you are born of God and the evil one, the devil, cannot touch you, that you are not the great I am, but the grace of God, you are what you are, that you have been justified, completely forgiven, and made righteous, that you died with Christ and you died to the power of sins rule in your life, that you are free forever from condemnation, that you have been placed into Christ by God's doing, that you have received the Spirit of God into your life, that you may know things freely given to you by God, that you have been given the mind of Christ, that you have been bought with a price, you are not your own, you belong to God, that you have been established, anointed, and sealed by God in Christ, and you have been given the Holy Spirit as a pledge, guaranteeing your inheritance to come. That since you have died, you no longer live for yourself, but you live for Christ. You have been made righteous, you have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you. The life that you now live is Christ's life through you. You have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. You have been chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy, and you are without blame before him, that you have been predestined, determined by God to be adopted as God's Son, that you have been redeemed and forgiven, that you are a recipient of his lavish grace, that you have been made alive together with Christ, that you have been raised up and seated with Christ, that you have access directly to God through the Spirit, that you may approach God with boldness and freedom and confidence because he is your heavenly Father, that you have been rescued from the domain of Satan's rule and transferred into God's marvelous light, that you have been redeemed and forgiven of all your sin. The debt against you has been canceled once and for all in Christ Himself, that you are firmly rooted in Christ and now you are being built in him. You have been spiritually circumcised. The old unregenerate nature has been removed from you. You have been made complete in Christ, you have been buried, raised, and made alive in Christ. You died with Christ and have been raised with Christ. Your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Christ is your life. You have been given a spirit of power, a spirit of love, and a spirit of self-discipline. You have been saved and set apart according to God's doing, that because you are a sanctified one, you are one with the sanctifier. He is not ashamed to call you brother. That you have the right to come boldly before the throne room of God because he is your heavenly Father. You have been given exceedingly great and precious moments by God and promises by God, by which Jesus is the yes and the amen of all of those. That is who you are. Don't you let this world tell you who you are. Only Jesus gets to tell you who you are. Now, men, go and act like that.
