0:20 Almost everybody remembers and focuses on the woman in the story. 0:24 We remember what she did, but almost nobody remembers where the man was standing while it was all happening. 0:30 He was standing close enough to speak up, close enough to intervene, close enough to even lead a little bit. 0:37 Yet he just kind of stood there and said nothing. 0:40 He just watched and then he ate. 0:43 And then fast forward a little bit in human history, and you see a man told by God exactly what to do, handed the plan, and handed the promise of victory. 0:52 And his response is essentially, not unless a woman comes with me. 0:57 So, guys, welcome to day five of Hell's Hydra. 1:00 We're wrapping up the week. 1:01 All week this week, I've been talking about this five-headed monster that Satan is using in modernity to just deceive people and to lead people astray. 1:09 Day one was fundamentalist Islam. 1:11 Day two was socialism and communism. 1:13 Day three is LGBTQ plus activism. 1:15 Yesterday, day four, we talked about globalism, and we're wrapping up with the fifth head of the Hydra that I added kind of after I did my initial episode, and that's feminism. 1:24 So again, like I said, my original Hydra didn't have this fifth head. 1:27 I thought about it when I was preparing my initial episode for my flagship show on Dawn of Life and Man's podcast. 1:32 And after it was, you know, after I released it, right, I kind of got it out of my brain. 1:36 I spent some more time and I thought about some more. 1:38 And, you know, just feminism is clearly one of the heads of Hell's Hydra. 1:41 And it's really one of the more pernicious forces that we have in modernity. 1:45 So at the beginning of the episode, we alluded to a couple of different stories, and the first one should be very familiar. 1:51 It's because it's the story of the fall that we get from Genesis 3. 1:54 So the dragon in the garden, Lucifer, Satan, the accuser. 1:57 He doesn't go to Adam first, he goes to Eve. 2:01 And he twists a single command that God gave into a question designed to make God look stingy. 2:08 Did God actually say, You shall not eat of the tree in the garden? 2:14 And you know, Eve engages with the dragon and even gets the command slightly wrong herself and then eventually eats of the fruit of the tree. 2:21 And then there's this little detail that is included almost as an aside. 2:24 She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. 2:30 The key phrase there being, Who was with her? 2:34 Now when some people hear the story, they think Adam is in, you know, some different field, you know, or maybe he's climbing a tree in a different part of the garden. 2:41 Nope. 2:42 He was standing right there. 2:44 He sat there silently as his wife was talking to a dragon that was trying to get her to commit the original sin. 2:50 Now remember, he was created first and he was given a command directly by God and given authority and given responsibility before she even existed, right? 2:59 He was commissioned to work and keep the garden. 3:02 He had a job and he just didn't do it. 3:04 And that's why even God comes looking, right? 3:07 When God comes looking, he calls out and he says, Where are you? 3:11 To Adam first, not to Eve. 3:14 That's why Paul later says in one of his epistles that sin entered through one man, even though Eve ate first. 3:22 So that's Romans 5 12. 3:24 So the first sin in human history is inseparable from a woman acting outside of her design and a man failing to lead, protect, and speak up when it counted most. 3:33 Then we go to Judges 4 for a lesser known story. 3:36 So Israel is under brutal oppression, and Deborah, a prophetess judging Israel, delivers a direct command from God to Barak, gather 10,000 men, and God will give their enemies into your hands. 3:48 Right? 3:49 So there wasn't a whole lot of nuance here. 3:51 This is about as clear of a prophetic instruction as you'll see in Scripture. 3:55 But Barak does not answer in confidence. 3:59 He answers with a condition. 4:01 If you will go with me, I will go. 4:03 But if you will not go with me, I will not go. 4:06 I mean, it's pretty pathetic, but Deborah agrees. 4:10 But she does tell him that it will cost him. 4:13 She says this the road on which you are going will not lead to your glory, for the Lord will sell Cisera, the enemy's, into the hand of a woman. 4:22 So, guys, that's not a celebration of female leadership, replacing male leadership as some kind of ideal situation, right? 4:29 It's been packaged as that, but that's not what's happening. 4:31 It's actually a rebuke of a man who is handed God's own promise of victory and still wouldn't move without a woman's hand to hold. 4:40 So some people think that, you know, feminist ideology actually invented female strength and capability, but that, I mean, that's just clearly not the case. 4:47 God designed women to be strong and capable, but in the right place and at the right time, within the right role, within his overall will for them. 4:57 So what feminist ideology exploits, though, and what you need to know as a man, is the vacuum left behind by generations of atoms and barracks, men that were present, informed, commissioned, but ultimately passive, creates a massive vacuum. 5:13 Every time a man abdicates leadership, protection, responsibility, someone is going to fill the gap. 5:20 And sometimes that will be a woman, even though that is not her place. 5:24 I mean, some men like to lean on Paul's words in 1 Timothy 2 and Ephesians 5 as some sort of power grab. 5:30 But if a man does that, it reveals that he doesn't really understand the immensity of the weight of responsibility that comes from those passages. 5:36 Those passages serve as a restoration of the job Adam walked away from in the garden. 5:42 Ephesians 5 tells husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. 5:46 So headship is not defined by having the coolest job, it's defined by sacrificial responsibility. 5:53 It's not about dominance, it's about service. 5:57 That's the Adam who should have stood between his wife and the dragon, not the Adam that stood by and just took a bite when it was his turn. 6:06 And look, yes, feminism has been a net negative for our society, big time. 6:11 We're currently in this cultural moment where feminists have essentially gotten everything that they've ever wanted and asked for, and society has never been sicker or more secular. 6:21 And the situation won't get better if men just stand around and watch a bunch of eaves take bites of the apple. 6:28 We must stand on truth, fulfill our jobs, put ourselves in the hard roles, answer the call when it comes, and stand firm and act like men. 6:37 If we are doing our roles properly, then women will do their roles properly. 6:43 And then there will be more unity than we've ever experienced or thought possible. 6:48 All right, guys, thank you for attention this week. 6:50 Stay sharp.
